Shaygan Kheradpir just became the new CEO and chairman of the board at Coriant. He will replace Pat DiPietro, who will return to being an operating partner at Coriant’s owner Marlin Equity Partners. He will begin serving as vice chairman of Coriant. Kheradpir, was most recently an operating partner at Marlin. He began his career with GTE Corporation, later moving to Verizon. He worked as chief information officer and executive vice president at the firm. He worked for a period of time at Barclay’s Bank. He later worked with Juniper Networks before assuming the operating partner role at Marlin.
Kheradpir’s major goal as CEO of the firm will be to increase sales of its equipment to meet service providers needs for multi-terabit and long-haul transport deployments. He will be responsible for hyper- scale data center and cloud infrastructure build outs, as well as mobile backhaul upgrades to accommodate 4G and 5G deployments.
