One might say entrepreneurship is in the DNA of Brazilian businessman Eduardo Sirotsky Melzer, or as friends and family call him Duda. The grandson of RBS Group, a Brazilian media conglomerate, founder, it’s only natural he’d want to follow in his grandfather’s enterprising footsteps. Last year he was named chairman and president of the RBS Group after 12 years of being at the company. He has made quite a name for himself in the world of business, being deemed one of Brazil’s most successful entrepreneurs.
Under the management of Duda, RBS Group began a somewhat new phase in its long run as a company. He worked to make sure that innovation was a priority among those withing the company. Because of his dedication to innovation, RBS Group’s generated revenue soared and it became one of the most innovative companies in the country.
Duda founded e.Bricks Digital in 2013. E.Bricks Digital is a digital sector investment company under the “umbrella” of RBS Group. The company has operations in both Brazil and the U.S.
In an article on Estadao, Duda began his career with Delphi Corporation in 2002 as Senior Financial Analyst. Of course he would leave Delphi to join RBS Group later, holding the position of Director General for the media conglomerate’s National Market. Duda was CEO of RBS three years prior to becoming chairman and president.
He attended Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS) and earned his degree in Business Administration in 1998 at 26 years old. He attended Harvard University as well and holds a MBA from the Ivy League school.
Duda Melzer is definitely been on a roll in recent years. He has no doubt earned the moniker as one of the most successful entrepreneurs in Brazil. If his fortune and successes continue to grow people will have to start saying he’s one of the most successful businessmen in the world.
