Sweetgreens has more than 40 locations where they serve their delicacies and according to the co-founder Nathaniel Ru who is also the Chief Executive Officer, their mission is to feed people with healthy foods.
The Chief Executive Officer mentioned that technology has been part of their DNA and that is why 30% of their business is done through technology; mobile app and also their website.
The Georgetown University classmates who are also the co-founders of the restaurant have been practicing a new management plan which they close their operational offices at list five times a year so that they can all work in all their food chain points.
Mr. Ru further mentioned that they do believe in decentralization. Nicolas Jammet, Jonathan Neman, and Nathaniel Ru were classmates at the Georgetown University and together they took entrepreneur classes.
The three co-founders established Sweetgreens after realizing that the area around their school lacked a healthy food point. They were also lucky to have parents who own businesses. In 2007 they decided to try their hand s in the healthy fresh food chain; Sweetgreen.
Nathaniel Ru is one of the three co-founders of Sweetgreen salad food chain. Mr. Ru is also the Chief Executive Officer of the food chain which has more than 40 locations in the United States of America. After his High School graduation, Nathaniel joined Georgetown University McDonough School of Business where he graduated with a BS in Finance.
Together with his ambitious friend and classmates; Nathaniel started Sweetgreen a food chain that offers fresh healthy organic foods. The three co-founders felt the need to fill the gap that they realized was there in the food industry.
Nathaniel and his co-founders established the first food joint in 2015 in West Coast. The business has been experiencing tremendous expansion. Nathaniel and his team would later found Sweetlife a food festival event which is considered to be the largest in the region.
The food festival has been attracting over 20000 people and has been featuring prominent artists. Nathaniel believes in food that fits everyone’s budget, satisfies their taste as well as meet their clients’ imagination.
